Construction Labourer with room to advance to Team Lead.

Education

No degree, certificate or diploma needed.

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.) are an asset, but not required.

Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate; Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC); Fall Arrest Protection Training Course

Experience

Will Train

Specific Skills

Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites; Mix, pour and spread materials; Load, unload and transport construction materials; Assist in demolishing buildings; Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, etc; Clean and pile salvaged materials; Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants.

Equipment and Machinery Experience

Drills; Reciprocating saws; Circular saws

Construction Specialization

Residential; Industrial, commercial and institutional

Weight Handling up to 23Kg (50lbs)

Security and Safety

Bondable; Driving record check (abstract); Criminal record check

Own Tools/Equipment

Steel-toed safety boots; Safety glasses/goggles

Work Site Environment

Confined spaces; Outdoors; At heights

Transportation/Travel Information

Own transportation; Vehicle supplies by employer; Valid driver’s licence; Public transportation is not available

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

Fast-paced environment; repetitive tasks; Handling heavy loads; Physically demanding
