We are committed to providing our Co-ops/Interns with a student experience that provides a supportive and engaging learning environment while developing skills and business acumen. Students will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of experiences including our Corporate Speaker Series, Fireside Chats, Volunteer opportunities and Networking events.

Eligibility Note: To qualify for a student (Co-op/Internship) opportunity, students must be enrolled in their academic studies at a post-secondary institution (university/college) and must be returning to school after completion of their work term with QuadReal. If you are a student registered in an official co-op program at your post-secondary institution and completion of a final work term is a mandatory component for you to graduate, you are eligible to apply with the understanding that you will leave QuadReal at the end of your work term or have the possibility to be considered for full-time opportunities.

Based in Toronto, the Co-op/Intern, Environmental Health & Safety will report to the Director, Environmental and Health and Safety and will work extensively with all members of QuadReal's Environmental and Health & Safety team. The EHS Intern will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day management of all aspects of the environmental and health & safety program. The EHS Intern will require a strong attention to detail and the ability to organize, prioritize and manage time in a fast-paced environment towards appropriately bringing various tasks to completion.

What You Will Experience:

  • Provide overall support to the EHS Department in the implementation of the environmental program for QuadReal's properties

  • Assist with the implementation of QuadReal's Indoor Air Quality Assessment.

  • Assist with the relaunch of QuadReal's Health & Safety Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Assist with validation of information collected via an integrated internal environmental survey of the properties

  • Assist with training programs/presentations, as necessary

What You Will Bring:

  • Enrolled in a post-secondary Environmental Program with a focus on Environmental Assessment and or Health & Safety

  • Passion for environmental compliance and management

  • Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively using a range of media

  • A strong work ethic, ability to allocate time effectively and work independently; and ability to multitask

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
