Maintains systems including heating, ventilation and air conditioning, and associated equipment (ie, pumps, compressors, humidifiers, chillers, air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, gas burners, furnaces, unit heaters, make-up air units, propane equipment, and exhaust fans, along with air / water flow and temperature controls, and building control systems) throughout the City's parks, sports fields, public pathways, community centres, libraries, heritage facilities, offices, municipal court house, works yards, and specific transit facilities.
Reporting to the Supervisor, HVAC/Mechanical Services, the successful candidate will monitor, inspect, maintain and repair mechanical building systems including HVAC equipment, domestic hot and cold water systems, refrigeration systems, oil and gas fired equipment, compressed air systems, pneumatic and electronic temperature control systems, and other related equipment and systems. More specifically, daily tasks may be as follows:
