DEPARTMENT: Recreation

REPORTS TO: Snow School Manager

STATUS OF POSITION: Seasonal

Position Summary

Are you passionate about skiing and eager to share your love of the slopes with others? Horseshoe Resort is seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as Assistant Ski/Snowboard Instructors. This is a fantastic opportunity for those who are interested in pursuing a career in ski instruction but do not yet have formal certifications. Gain valuable experience, participate in on-the-job training, be eligible for certification financial assistance and help guests of all ages enjoy their time on the slopes.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist certified Ski Instructors in delivering ski lessons to guests of varying skill levels.

  • Support students during lessons by providing encouragement, demonstrations, and personalized assistance.

  • Help set up and organize Snow School programs, including group lessons and special events.

  • Ensure a safe and positive learning environment for all students.

  • Communicate effectively with guests, instructors, and supervisors to ensure smooth lesson operations.


Qualifications:

  • A passion for skiing and a desire to teach and help others.

  • Basic to intermediate skiing ability.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work in a physically demanding outdoor environment.

  • Positive attitude, patience, and a willingness to learn.

  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

  • Previous experience working with children or in a customer service role is a plus, but not required.
