Engineering Student - Winter 2025 Co-op Term
Irving Shipbuilding is seeking an Engineering Student in Dartmouth, NS. This role is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to production planning and an understanding of what a career at Irving Shipbuilding can look like.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with production on engineering challenges for ship build.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to review design elements of ship.
- Assist in supporting Production execute schedule.
- Participate in issue management, tracking and solution development.
- Propose and participate in continuous improvement projects as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Education Required:
- Currently enrolled in 4th or 5th year of an Engineering degree.
- Experience: 0-2 years' experience.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, openness to learning new technology
- Skilled in organizing and managing a variety of tasks with varying priorities and is a fast learner and effective problem solver
All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
