Skoki Lodge is a backcountry lodge located in the high alpine of Banff National Park. At an elevation of 7,100 feet (2,164 meters) the lodge is only accessible by hiking or skiing the 11km trail that begins at the Lake Louise Ski Resort.

Job Description:

Reporting to the Skoki Manager, the role of Skoki Lodge Attendant is to be a 'jack of all trades' while delivering a high quality level of service. We specifically seek out candidates who have professional cooking experience, and would be able to act as Relief Chef when required.

Job Location:

Skoki Lodge is a backcountry lodge located in the high alpine of Banff National Park. At an elevation of 7,100 feet (2,164 meters) the lodge is only accessible by hiking or skiing the 11km trail that begins at the Lake Louise Ski Resort.

*Please note that while accommodation is provided while working at the Lodge, no staff accommodation is available for days off. Employees will need their own accommodation*

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that all bedrooms and public rooms are serviced and cleaned daily by performing general housekeeping duties including; dusting, vacuuming, changing linens and emptying garbage and recycling etc.
  • Chopping wood.
  • Ensure a positive guest experience through interaction & satisfaction.
  • Communicate regularly with the Skoki Manager to ensure the overall success of the establishment.
  • Help to ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of all cookware, flatware, small wares, glassware, and cutlery.
  • Be readily available at all times to deal with problems or complaints.
  • Provide friendly, efficient & professional table service to our guests.
  • Organize and maintain cleanliness of dish room.
  • Relief Chef duties include catering breakfast, lunch and dinner for lodge guests and employees to a consistently high standard.

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Must be in good physical shape, as position involves skiing 11 km (each way) to and from the lodge, on a fortnightly basis.
  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
  • Able to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment.
  • Service oriented, assertive, flexible, outgoing and enthusiastic.
  • Possess cultural awareness and sensitivity.
  • Able to work outside in all weather conditions.
  • Outdoor enthusiast with the ability to work long hours when required.
  • Strong communication skills with a second language considered an asset.
  • Highly flexible with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
  • Self motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.

Please note: As this is a remote work location there is no internet access or wifi capabilities available on site.

Work Schedule:

10 days on / 4 days off
