Job Description:

Reporting to the Guest Services Manager, the Mountain Greeter Supervisor is responsible for providing professional, quality customer service through the leadership of our Mountain Greeting team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating closely with Guest Services Supervisors to provide high standards of service, exceed customer expectations, and contribute to our mission statement: "We Make People Happy"
  • Supervising Mountain Greeting employees, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments and breaks
  • Leading by example by scanning tickets at the lifts to ensure all guests have a valid ticket/pass
  • Monitoring invalid tickets and reward systems, responding to radio calls, and escorting guests from lifts to Guest Services counter when required
  • Assisting Guest Services Supervisors when needed
  • Scheduling, training and daily motivation of staff
  • Managing ticket scanning equipment and radios
  • Communicating changes in policy, procedures, products, services, promotions, or any other alterations that affect delivery of customer service
  • Identifying technology solutions to meet evolving department and customer needs
  • Assisting in conducting seasonal employee performance reviews and evaluations and ensuring to address poor performance related issues/lead disciplinary meetings, if required
  • Ensuring adherence by team members of company and departmental policies and procedures
  • Ensuring positive employee experience through training, motivation and ongoing development of all employees
  • Overseeing snow removal/ice chipping, ski/board rack setup, and general base area maintenance
  • Assisting with the planning and implementing of staff incentives

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of guests and offer the appropriate solutions
  • Ability to deal with staff and guests sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
  • Skilled at multitasking and handling conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable, service-oriented, assertive, flexible, outgoing and enthusiastic
  • Able to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong team leader, previous supervisory experience (including scheduling logistics) is preferred
  • Experience using a two-way radio as an asset
  • Ability to use office programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel

Work Schedule:

Typically, 5 days on/2 days off (will vary based on business levels)
