Job Description:

The Guest Services Attendant/Mountain Greeter position is split between indoors and outdoors (ratio will vary based on skillset, preference, and business levels) and is responsible for providing professional and efficient service to our guests while adhering to all company policies. The Guest Services Attendants will handle customer inquiries/comments/complaints in person/over the phone/via email, process ticket/pass sales and assist with general administrative duties for the resort. The Mountain Greeters are responsible for greeting and welcoming guests at the lifts, ensuring that each guest has a valid ticket and/or pass before loading the chairs and/or gondola, and assisting with maintaining the base area. There is also the possibility of full-time Guest Services hours (inside) or full-time Mountain Greeting hours (outside), please indicate if you have a preference.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Dealing with customer inquiries, complaints and comments in a professional manner
  • Ensuring positive guest experience and contributing to the mission statement: "We Make People Happy
  • Processing ticket and season pass sales (including cash/debit/credit transactions and cash out procedures)
  • Performing administrative/switchboard duties - includes being the central phone/email communications hub for the resort
  • Managing the lost and found and locker rentals
  • Assisting guests with automated ticket kiosks
  • Providing support for other departments when needed (cross-utilization)
  • Scanning tickets/passes at lifts to ensure they valid
  • Using a two-way radio to call in bad scans
  • Shoveling snow/chipping ice in the base area and organizing ski/snowboard racks
  • This role may be split with Parking Lot Attendant duties

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Reliable, service-oriented, flexible, outgoing and enthusiastic
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
  • Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of guests and offer appropriate solutions
  • Able to respond quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced and changing environment
  • Able to work outside in all weather conditions
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Word & Excel, Outlook and Internet
  • Cash handling experience preferred
  • Administrative experience / professional phone etiquette considered an asset
  • Previous customer service experience required

Work Schedule:

5 days on/2 days off, approximately 30-40 hours/week (business level dependent)

Dress Code:

Indoor (Guest Services): Uniform shirt provided at cost, black pants

Outdoor (Mountain Greeting/Parking Lot): Uniform pants/jacket provided with deposit
