Job Description:

The main responsibility of our Ski and Snowboard instructors is to provide an excellent guest experience while in a safe and professional teaching environment. Level 3 and 4 instructors will also be responsible for providing training sessions to our team of instructors to help them achieve their next level of CSIA or CASI certification and continually improve their skills. Instructors teach guests of all ages and ability levels across private lessons, group lessons and multi-week programs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Instructing and coaching guests of all ages and abilities to ski or snowboard.
  • Work with the training team to run ongoing training sessions for the team of instructors to maximize development and growth amongst our team and continue to achieve high levels of success on CSIA/CASI exams.
  • Lead full-day Instructor Training Program sessions focused on a combination of skier/rider technical and theoretical development.
  • Knowledge of long term skier/rider development process.
  • Completion of reports & relevant administration forms as and when required.
  • Teaching familiarity of how to load and unload ski lifts.
  • Teaching individuals new skills and techniques to help improve their ability in all terrain.
  • Promoting safety and the Alpine Responsibility Code to give students the knowledge to remain safe when out skiing/snowboarding without an instructor.
  • Undertaking other Resort tasks as assigned by the Snow School.

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • The Right to Work (legally entitled to work) in Canada for the duration of the 2024/25 season.
  • CSIA/CASI L3+ certification (or equivalent) required. Terrain park certification considered an asset.
  • Clean vulnerable sector police check (or domestic equivalent) from country of origin.
  • Impeccable decision-making skills, communication and adherence to all LLSA safety policies.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor and attitude at all times.
  • Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions.

Work Schedule:
Basic schedule of 5 days on/2 days off fluctuating throughout the season depending on business levels.

Dress Code:
Outdoor Snow School Uniform provided upon receipt of a deposit, personal items and clothing in accordance with appearance standards.
